About:
Ali Chahrour is a dancer and choreographer, who graduated from the theatre department at The Lebanese University.
Influenced by creative techniques and approaches to movement from several European countries, he studies contemporary dance in the Arab world. Chahrour is interested in how movement relates to society’s memory and local circumstances, his research thus focusing on the geographical and historical specifics/qualities of contemporary dance.
